Join Us for Our Veterans Day Event

United States veterans will be honored at the annual Veterans Day ceremony at Union Ridge Cemetery. Join us on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 2 p.m. Guest speaker Gene Salecker, author and historian, will speak about the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The traditional cannon salute will be provided by Battery L of Camp 6165 of the Sons of the Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW). SUVCW is a fraternal organization dedicated to preserving the history and legacy of heroes who fought to save the Union. More than 400 American veterans, including 70+ Civil War soldiers are buried at Union Ridge, one of the oldest operating cemeteries in Chicagoland.
